Saying Goodbye to Ramadan

Ramadan is leaving.

The nights are growing quieter.
The Qur’an recitations are slowing.
The iftar tables are returning to normal.

And the question is not:

“How was your Ramadan?”

The real question is:

Who are you now that it’s ending?

The early generations of Islam would grieve at the end of Ramadan.

Not because they loved food less.
Not because they enjoyed the routine.

They feared one thing:

Was it accepted?

Allah says:

“Indeed, Allah only accepts from the righteous.”
— Surah Al-Ma’idah (5:27)

You prayed, fasted, gave charity.

But acceptance is not automatic. It is earned through sincerity.
