Laylat-al-Qadr

Dhikr and Duʿāʾ are among the easiest and most powerful acts of worship in Islam. They build a personal connection with Allah and turn ordinary moments into acts of faith.

This page introduces essential remembrance (Dhikr) and everyday supplications (Duʿāʾ) that every new Muslim can begin with — gently, consistently, and with confidence.

Laylatul Qadr (ليلة القدر) means The Night of Decree or The Night of Power.

It is the most important night of the entire year in Islam.

Allah says:

“Indeed, We sent it (the Qur’an) down during the Night of Decree.”
— Qur’an 97:1

It is the night when the Qur’an was first revealed to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

⭐ Why Is It Better Than 1,000 Months?

Allah says:

“Laylatul Qadr is better than a thousand months.” — Qur’an 97:3

1,000 months = over 83 years.

That means worship done on this one night is better than worship done for 83+ years.

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah said: “When I say Subhan Allah, wal-hamdu Lillah, wa la ilah ill-Allah, wa Allahu akbar (Glory be to Allah, praise be to Allah, there is no god except Allah, and Allah is Most Great)’, this is more beloved to me than all that the sun rises upon.” (Muslim)

رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا
