Dhikr & Duas

Dhikr and Duʿāʾ are among the easiest and most powerful acts of worship in Islam. They build a personal connection with Allah and turn ordinary moments into acts of faith.

This page introduces essential remembrance (Dhikr) and everyday supplications (Duʿāʾ) that every new Muslim can begin with — gently, consistently, and with confidence.

Dhikr means remembering Allah through words of praise, glorification, gratitude, and seeking forgiveness.

“Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.”
Qur’an 13:28

Duʿāʾ is calling upon Allah — asking Him for help, guidance, forgiveness, and blessings.

“Call upon Me; I will respond to you.”
— Qur’an 40:60

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah said: “When I say Subhan Allah, wal-hamdu Lillah, wa la ilah ill-Allah, wa Allahu akbar (Glory be to Allah, praise be to Allah, there is no god except Allah, and Allah is Most Great)’, this is more beloved to me than all that the sun rises upon.” (Muslim)
Daily Duʿāʾ
رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا
Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:"He who utters ten times: 'La ilaha illallahu, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahulmulku wa lahulhamdu, wa Huwa 'ala kulli sha'in Qadir' he will have a reward equal to that for freeing four slaves from the progeny of Prophet Isma'il."[Sahih Muslim]
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There are two statements that are light for the tongue to remember, heavy in the Scales and are dear to the Merciful: 'Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi, Subhan-Allahil-Azim [Glory be to Allah and His is the praise, (and) Allah, the Greatest is free from imperfection]'. [Sahih al-Bukhari]
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: "Shall I not guide you to a treasure from the treasures of Jannah?" I said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" Thereupon he (ﷺ) said, "(Recite) 'La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah' (There is no change of a condition nor power except by Allah)."[Sahih al-Bukhari]
